When we moved into our current house, we were dismayed to find that the previous owners had left quite the amount of clutter sitting (and some rotting in the back yard.
I suppose that's really what happens when you purchase a house site unseen from across the country though, eh? Although that's a story for another time.
However, among the rotten plywood, broken windows and bunches of barbed wire, was actually quite the treasure.
That's right; Among the junk was an absolute butt-load of bricks. Unfortunately, there are a lot that are broken and unusable. But, there are a lot of them.
There are enough that I plan on making a nice brick fire pit. It will be my first time playing with concrete and mortar.
I've been inspired by the vast amounts of home improvement projects I've been watching on YouTube.
Big plans are swirling around in my head, and I will be sure to take pictures and keep this blog updated as I go along.
