Hi there! Welcome to my website, and thank you very much for taking the time to read my blog!
I’m Tara, and I am an amateur photographer. To me, right now, that still feels kind of strange to say.
You see, photography is art. And like all art, it’s incredibly subjective; what looks good and what doesn’t tends to depend very much on the viewer.
That means, to create art, one must be open to being vulnerable. The mere thought of having that level of vulnerability with strangers used to scare the heck out of me.
But I’ve changed a lot in the past two years.
I realized that it can feel very empowering to be able to share that side of myself. And it was that realization that helped me get back in touch with my more artistic side.

I decided I needed something in my life that would allow me to spend quality time with my family, and not feel drained at the end of the day. I needed a way to spend my time that would leave me feeling fulfilled. Aviation, as much as I love airplanes, was not it.
So, for a little while, I grappled with the question of what to do next.
And that more or less brings us to now. I have been spending some time getting to know my camera... well, more accurately, my amazing husband Matthew’s Pentax K-S2.
I have been doing a lot of self-study, and playing around with the little Pentax, and have been having lots of fun doing so.
A lot of you have been asking me, what do I specialize in? Well, the truth is, I don’t really “specialize” in anything just yet.
My journey as a photographer is just beginning! So if you’d like to follow along on my journey, I’ll be doing my best to keep this site updated.
The best of me is yet to come... 📷
